Access to Justice Week 2023: Advancing Equity and Inclusion in Manitoba’s Legal System Held from October 23 to 27, 2023, Manitoba’s Access to Justice Week brought together legal professionals, educators, and community members to explore key issues in justice reform and equity. Hosted by the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law, the Law Society of Manitoba, and the Manitoba Bar Association, the week featured four free, virtual events focused on language rights, systemic barriers, and inclusive legal practices.

 

Access to Justice in French: A World to Discover - English version

During National Access to Justice Week (October 23–27, 2023), the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Law hosted a panel titled “Access to Justice in French: A World to Discover.” Keynote speaker Chief Justice Marianne Rivoalen was joined by moderator Judge Denis Guenette and panelists Dr. Lorna Turnbull, Andrea Doyle, Tarik Daoudi (AJEFM), Ruphine Djuissi (AJEFM), and Jean-René Dominique Kwilu (CJFJ).

L’accès à la justice en français: Un monde à découvrir - version française

Lors de la Semaine nationale de l’accès à la justice (23–27 octobre 2023), la Faculté de droit de l’Université du Manitoba a présenté un panel intitulé « L’accès à la justice en français : un monde à découvrir ». La juge en chef Marianne Rivoalen était conférencière principale, accompagnée du juge Denis Guenette comme modérateur, et des panélistes Dre Lorna Turnbull, Andrea Doyle, Tarik Daoudi (AJEFM), Ruphine Djuissi (AJEFM) et Jean-René Dominique Kwilu (CJFJ).
