Webinar: Tips for Translating Legal Information Clearly and Accurately

The Public Legal Education Association of Canada (PLEAC) is hosting a webinar on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at 2 PM EST (1 PM in Manitoba), focusing on strategies for clear and accurate translation of legal information.

Providing legal information in multiple languages can help organizations reach marginalized communities and increase access to justice. However, translating legal content effectively presents unique challenges, even for those experienced in creating it.

This session is designed for organizations looking to expand the accessibility of their legal information across languages. Participants are encouraged to extend this invitation to colleagues and partners who may benefit from the content.

PLEAC is a national, non-profit organization that serves as an umbrella organization for public legal education and information (PLEI) groups across Canada. They promote knowledge-sharing and skill-development, and act as a national voice on issues concerning the PLEI community. PLEAC members create, disseminate and promote public legal education and information across Canada.
